If you don't have a backup, you're in big problems ! Because of this it's definatly not a good idea to store your professional photo series on Picasa. Once you have uploaded your precious photos to Picasa, it's simply impossible to get them back in their original state. Picasa resized all my uploaded photos (3456 x 2304 px photos have been resized to 1600 x 1067 px photos) and also the filesize of the photos was different (1,8 MB photos have been changed to 0,234 MB photos etc.).
